Evensong Service this Wednesday
There will be an Evening Prayer Service put to music this Wednesday, April 9, at 5 pm in the sanctuary.
Farewell to Fran Beal
On Palm Sunday, next Sunday, April 13, we will be having a Farewell Reception for Fran Beal who will be going back to Flagstaff for the warmer season of the year. Fran has been experiencing some health problems and may not be able to return regularly in the future. Please pray that she can and plan to attend her reception during coffee hour and bring some hors d’oeuvres.
Volunteers Needed for Holy Week Flyer Distribution
Please speak with Fr. Samuel if you would be willing to spend an hour distributing flyers to invite people for Holy Week services. You may do them by yourself at your convenience or join Fr. Samuel and others on April 11 at 5 pm at CTK.
Lenten Study and Soup Suppers
Join us on Saturdays through April 12, for potluck soup suppers in St. Andrew’s at 4:00 pm followed by a Lenten study on the book To Be a Christian, An Anglican Catechism. Currently these books are on sale at Amazon for $20.71 plus tax, if you don’t own a copy. Speak to Melody if you need help ordering one.
Laura Quezada to Perform Locally
Parishioner Laura Quezada will be appearing on stage in two productions in April. You can see her twirling her baton at Parker Performing Arts Center at Burroughs High School on April 12 or 13. Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 6:30pm. Tickets are $15 at Red Rock Books or from Laura.
Easter Food Basket
We will be bringing Easter Food Baskets to four families during Holy Week. Signup sheets for the Food Baskets are available in the Narthex. Items are due April 13.
Easter Lilies
Please fill out the purple dedication form enclosed in your bulletin if you plan to purchase an Easter Lily and bring it before the service on April 20. You may take your lily home to enjoy after the service.
Holy Week Schedule
Our palms have arrived for next Sunday, April 13, so don’t miss this fun service, with a procession into the church and a dramatic reading of the Gospel by your church family.
Monday through Saturday, April 14-19, at 7 am, Fr. Samuel will be doing morning prayer in his office and on Facebook. You may join him in person or at www.facebook.com/ctkanglican from the comfort of your home. Videos of services remain online on Facebook for 30 days.
On Wednesday, April 16, we will have our normal Wednesday Holy Eucharist Service at 12 pm.
On Thursday, April 17, we will have our Maundy Thursday Holy Eucharist Service, and on Friday, April 18, we will have our Good Friday service with Stations of the Cross, Holy Eucharist, and the Stripping of the Altar.
Sunday, April 20, will be our Easter Service, with the Flowering of the Cross. Be sure to bring flowers from the store or your garden to adorn the cross. Also, don’t forget to bring your Easter Lilies.
