Please join Fr. Samuel, members of your church family, and other Christians in our community at Ridgecrest’s Annual Prayer Breakfast. This year it is on Thursday, May 2, at 6:15 am at Desert Christian Center (100 E. Bataan Ave). Solomon Rajaratnam is the Key Speaker and Casey’s will be catering the full breakfast. Tickets are available from the church office for $10 per person.

Melody Witham, our Parish Administrator will be coming to our service on May 5 and will take about 10 minutes during the announcement time to speak on the orphanage in Myanmar that is our mission of the quarter. Please plan to stay through the end of the service to hear about this ministry.

The Compass Rose Commission has chosen Chayah Orphanage in Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, as our mission for the Second Quarter. Your Parish Administrator, Melody, has been working with the small children’s home near Myanmar’s largest city, Yangon, for 18 years. She has visited many times and been finding sponsors for their children. This offering will be used for food, clothing, schooling, and to cover their rent and any medical expenses. Please write checks out to Christ the King Anglican Church and place them or cash in the offering plate, marked for “Mission of the Quarter.”

The DHC will be meeting next Sunday, April 7, after the service in the Rector’s Office for their regular monthly meeting.

Fr. Samuel is offering a women’s Bible study and no host lunch at 12 pm on non-flex Fridays, at Xin Bowl. He is leading you through the Gospel of John. The next meeting is May 3.
