Fr. Townsend Waddill is rector of Christ the King Anglican Church. He was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. After a career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he left for Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Nashotah, WI, and was ordained priest on June 14, 2008. Fr. Townsend has served Christ the King Anglican Church since September, 2010. His wife, Lisa, is principal of Immanuel Christian School. They have two children, Benjamin, age 15, and William, age 10. Fr. Townsend has his Bachelor of Science in Business Adminstration from the University of Florida, his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, and his Master of Divinity from Nashotah House Theological Seminary.
Deacon Debby Buffum is a deacon at Christ the King and a support deacon at St. Peter’s in Kernville. She was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Arlington, Virginia. She is married to Frank Buffum, who was a research physicist and warfare analyst for the Navy, and is now a retired physician assistant. Deacon Debby has a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley; a teaching credential through California State University, Bakersfield; a Master of Arts in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. She was ordained to the Diaconate in the Anglican Diocese of San Joaquin on April 8, 2008. She strives to make Christ and his redemptive love known as she ministers. She and Frank have worked with Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity in India and have done medical mission work in Honduras and Haiti. She taught science and math to junior high and high school students. Debby and Frank enjoy adventures, hiking and have traveled the world. They have three adult children and three granddaughters.
